Lower Camanjac Dumaguete Flood 2014 – Day my Feet Got Wet

lower camanjac dumaguete floodLower Camanjac Dumaguete Flood was a personal affair for me, our house is litterally right on a creek.
I awoke about 8am to the sound of rushing water. I went around the back to see how high it had risen. It was getting up there already but i noticed it was still rising and kept rising until we got our feet wet. See the video below.

Lower Camanjac Flood

It had been raining overnight but not that heavy, I expected the creek to rise a bit but not where it got to.

There must have been some really heavy downpours in the mountains to have that much water come down.

Camanjac Flood After PhotoYou can see that the creek is normally very low, I estimate it rose over 3m.

camanjac floodPretty exciting and scarey day all in one. The sound of coconuts pounding on the back wall was a little unsettling.
